about all-inclusives. I think a lot of travelers, when they think about
all-inclusives, they’re like “Oh god, you know, mediocre food, cookie cutter design”
but I will tell you that the new crop of all-inclusives are
absolutely incredible and I can’t recommend them enough. I’ve checked out
so many, the team at Jetsetter has checked out so many and I’m going to
highlight five of my favorites. But before I dive in, I just want to talk a
little bit about the type of traveler who would be looking for an
all-inclusive. I mean, this is really the type of place where you’re just going to
relax, kick back. You want to avoid the hustle and bustle. You just want to stay
on property, take advantage of the great restaurants, the beach nearby, and just
not move too much. These are in no particular order but I’m going to start
with The Caves in Negril, Jamaica. If you’re looking to get really
off the grid, this is a great option for you. There are only 12 thatch-roof
cottages and they’re perched along this limestone cliff that plunges into the
Caribbean. Just for that mere fact, you’re not going to find any kids here
because it’s just too dangerous for them. There’s a great rum bar that you can go
to in the evenings and just watch the sunset. There’s a lot of fun activities
to do during the day. Snorkeling is included in the rate. There are a
lot of outcrops that you can jump into the water from the rocks so that’s
really fun and it’s just a great, romantic, off-the-grid getaway. If
you’re looking for a little bit more action, Negril’s Seven Mile Beach
is just down the road. For our next property, we’re going to go all
the way to Cancún to the Excellence Playa Mujeres which is a completely different
vibe. I mean, I would say this is kind of the Disneyland for adults of resorts and
in the best possible way. It’s got nine restaurants that range from Indian to
seafood. It’s got 11 bars. It’s got an incredible spa. Every activity you can
imagine: beach volleyball, snorkeling, kayaking, I mean it really has everything
here. If you love golfing, the peninsula is also home to one of
Mexico’s best golf courses, Playa Mujeres. Number three on our list is Jade
Mountain St. Lucia, and I have to say, this is one of my favorite properties in
the world. St. Lucia alone is so stunning because you’ve got beautiful beaches but
you also have the Pitons mountain range so it’s this great mix of mountain and
beach. I have to say few adults-only all-inclusives check as many boxes as
Jade Mountain does. I mean, it really has everything you can imagine if you’re
looking for romance. There are 28 suites that overlook the
mountain range so you’ve got stunning views and all of them have decks. You’ve
got rum tastings, cooking classes, hot-stone massages, a fantastic restaurant
with a James Beard Award-winning chef who will actually create a custom meal
for you and deliver it to your room so it’s a very special place. Number four on our
list is COMO Parrot Cay in Turks and Caicos. What I love about Turks
and Caicos is it’s so easy to get to. It’s about a three- to four-hour flight
from the U.S. so extremely accessible and the actual property is super exclusive.
It’s on a 1,000-acre private island hideaway and really sets a new bar in
terms of luxury for the all-inclusive. So when you arrive at the property, a
chauffeured golf cart will pick you up and deliver you directly to either a
suite, room, or villa. Once you get settled in, you
can go and explore the property. There’s a beautiful infinity pool.
There’s an award-winning spa with yoga pavilions and a gorgeous private beach. Just a quick note about the property: kids are actually welcome here but the
luxury factor tends to keep big groups away. For our final property, we’re going to go
all the way to the Maldives to the Komandoo Private Island Resort. This place
is fantastic. It’s beautiful, it’s got everything, but most of all, it’s a lot
more affordable than other luxury resorts in the Maldives. You do have
to take an extra 45-minute flight from the Malé airport to arrive at the
property but it’s so worth it because once you got there, the all-inclusive
option has endless activities to choose from, from water sports to beach
volleyball to kayaking, I mean everything under the sun. Along with all the
activities, the resort has fantastic food and I highly recommend signing up for a
sushi-making class. It’s a lot of fun. These are just a few of my favorite
all-inclusives, but we’ve got a lot more options in the link below so
definitely check them out. And if you have any recommendations of
all-inclusives you’ve been to, make a comment below and I’ll see you in the
next video.
